Derek is an experienced Intellectual Property (IP) and innovation practitioner with a strong entrepreneurial background and a passion for technology commercialisation. Over the past 18 years Derek has had first-hand experience in starting, securing equity finance, developing and commercialising IP rich businesses and has a clear understanding of how IP should be managed and how it adds value to a business.

Samad has 21 years of experience in software development for different platforms in research contexts and training. His expertise are in computational intelligence, data and text mining and mathematical modelling. His previous projects include software systems for data mining, clustering, logistics problems, scheduling and timetabling, 3D visualisations, gamification scenarios as well as software for virtual reality.
